Emeritus Archbishop Bernard Mohlalisi,OMI

Emeritus Archbishop Bernard Mohlalisi,OMI. was born on the 16th March, 1933 at Ha ‘Malijeng in the Diocese of Mohale’s Hoek. He was professed a member of Oblates of Mary Immaculate in 1955. On the 14th July 1963 he was ordained priest following which he served in various parishes. He was the first Mosotho Oblate Provincial from 1970 to 1976. From 1976 to 1983 he became the Superior of Oblate Scholasticate. After that he became rector of St. Augustine’s Major Seminary. In 1988 he became Vice Coordinator at the Papal visit office. He served as Archdiocesan administrator after the death of Archbishop Morapeli.  He was appointed Archbishop of Maseru on the 11th June 1990 and was ordained the same year on the 7th October. He retired on the 30th June 2009. He served as an administrator of Qacha’s Nek Diocese following the passing away of Bishop Evaristus Bitsoane until the appointment and ordination of Bishop Mopeli Joseph Sephamola, OMI.

Emeritus Bishop Sebastian Koto Khoarai OMI

Emeritus Bishop Sebastian Koto Khoarai OMI was born on the 11th September 1929 at Koaling in the Diocese of Leribe. He was ordained priest of Oblates of Mary Immaculate on the 21st December 1956. He was appointed and ordained Bishop of Mohale’s Hoek on the 10th November 1977 and 2nd April 1978 respectively. He is the first Bishop of the Diocese. He retired on the 11th February 2014.
